First two are Bob Arnott.
Then Ian Taylor (works GRD)
Don't know the Royale driver - Andrew Kitson might.
Yes - Gunnar, works March, but years later (750
Merlyns (73 I think) - therefore MK21s...
Vandervell 73 - March 73B (Atlantic)

Without checking my facts  I agree with the Gunnar Nilsson ident. I think car 27 is Ian Taylor in a Modus. 23 is a Royale, possibly an Atlantic RP12. 45 is the F3 Merlyn Mk21 of Hakan Dahlqvist and it looks like a GRD the other side. I also think that is the Colin Vandervell Atlantic March. The Swansong March is driving me mad, I just can't remember

Blast! Yes of course Bob Arnott but I still think Ian Taylor is in a Modus :)

What about the driver? According to http://www.oldracingcars.com/ Royale #23 was entered for one race in 1974. It's driver was Val Musetti, but he was DNA in that Brands Hatch race weekend...

Gerald, I'm with Mark on the Ian Taylor car, the last ever F3 GRD I reckon, the 375. Can't recall IT ever in a Modus. On the Royale, do the BP stickers give any clue. I know they backed the 75 F3 series, were any Royales entered in F3 that year, don't think so. I'd go for an Atlantic in 73, same year as the Vandervell FAt March pictured. Driver, its not Tom Pryce is it ?

The Royale must be an Atlantic, the tyres are too wide for an F3 car and look at the airbox - no sign of the mandatory F3 air restrictor. It's definitely not Andy Sutcliffe at the wheel, unless he dyed his hair for the picture. And look at the BP stickers - they say "BP Formula Atlantic".

The RED DONKEY team cars are:

The back car is a GRD.

The near side looks like a Palliser with Hakan Dahlqvist as the driver.

The Royale is NOT Tom Pryce.

Hakan Dahlqvist had a Merlyn that year, 73, I think in F3. The Royale Atlantic, Mike Franey perhaps ??

Andy Sutcliffe had a dark blue (or black?) helmet, if I remember well.

Franey appears to be correct (oldracingcars.com) if the picture is from 1975.

A David Barden appeared twice in a RP12A at Brands in 74, but is listed as number 29, not 23.

Taylor is definitely in a GRD - you can see the phoenix badge on the nose.
