It is an 'experimental' Ford from 1962.

I know there's a similar car that was build in late 70s, the famous 'Panther':

But the Ford was like 20 years ahead... unfortunately I don't have any other info on the Ford than the pictures... but I though this was worth posting ;)

Judging by the dates, Gerry & Sylvia Anderson got their inspiration for 'FAB 1' from the car above...

Deredk Gardner also designed the 1964 Ferguson-Novi P104 Indycar on behalf of Ferguson for the Granatelli team.
But he was reported to have suggested in later years to Granatelli to desing a sixwheeler for Indy with 4 front wheels with the power being transmitted onto the rear axle and the rear of the two front axles (mid axle... ???)
But I never got that story confirmed and I wouldbe about dying to hear from anybody who could ask this to Gardner if this was indeed true and if so, to hear more about that car.
Please mr Nye, do you know more, by chance???
And that Indycar was supposed to have inspired the P34.

Henri, C/D, Sept. '76 had an article on the Tyrrell. They mention Gardner started drawing the 6 wheel car when Ferguson had him working with STP and Lotus on the 1969 Type 64 4wd. The idea was to reduce the front-end adhesion problem (under acceleration) the 64s had with the turbo-Ford.
The article has several quotes from Gardner, so it's likely it's true.

By the way, the waytoocool experimental Ford" is the 1962 Seattle-ITE XXI, designed for nuclear power.
