Barry Boor and Roger Clark took some very nice pictures at the 2004 Monaco Historique. Sadly, I didnt....... but before I delete these for ever from my camera, I thought I'd expose my ineptitude to the world

Our home for the weekend - the guy in the pale green/red overalls on the far left is (the now sadly deceased) Geoff Manning. Three Volpinis in one garage, and all with consecutive chassis numbers!

Geoff Manning visible again, together with Duncan Rabagliati's "Flying Carrot" - number 30

This geezer stopped in front of our garage

Phew!!!!! It's all over - now off to "Stars and Bars" for a burger and a beer

I love 1 Litre F3 cars, and couldn't resist taking a few pics at a damp Mallory

I think they're nice enough to justify burning them onto a CD...

Don't throw them out, will you?

Having seen them on TNF in their full "glory", I won't delete them. They are a record of a very enjoyable time. (More enjoyable times to come as soon as the weather improves, hopefully!)

Are any TNFers planning a Monaco Historique trip in 2006? If you live in the UK, there is precious little excuse - prices have gone up, but it's still a bit of a bargain. Easyjet....., then stay in a cheap hotel in Nice - dine on pasta and beer, teke the bus to Monaco (a 30 min picturesque ride), and wallow in a HUGE amount of atmosphere.

I certainly hope to be there....

The old geezer who is sadly no longer with us had worked with both Frank Williams and Graham Hill's teams, not really that long ago. That trip to Monaco with a Formula Junior was a trip of a life time for Geoff and probably meant more to him than any GP, he knew he was dying when he went.

Cirrus,

Your pics do have a certain romantic glow. Not bad at all.
