In 1929 Brackenbury was running a BNC in Brooklands handicaps. The next year he acquired a red Bugatti T37, which he campaigned for about three years before switching to an MG Midget in 1933. During the 1934 season he seems to have scaled back his racing, operating more or less as a professional co-driver in longer races. He partnered Jack Bartlett in an Alfa in the 1934 Empire Trophy, Charlie Martin in Martin's Alfa Romeo at Donington in 1936 and in the 1937 Campbell Trophy and co-drove Anthony Powys-Lybbe's V12 Sunbeam in the 1937 '500'. As late as 1939 he can be found sharing Ansell's ERA in the International Trophy. Boddy also records him driving in Brooklands handicaps in 1938-9 and as owner of a 3 litre Delage driven by Peter Aitken.
He was also (with Tim Rose-Richards and Johnny Hindmarsh) one of the team of four which set up a new 24-hour record at Bonneville in John Cobb's Napier-Railton on September 12th 1936.

The following can be added to Vitesse’s list:
1930
raced the T37 at Skegness
1933
raced Shuttleworth’s 2.3 Bugatti in the Mannin Moar and a Bentley Speed Six at Mont Ventoux
1934
raced a Riley "MPH" in the Tourist Trophy
1935
raced Martin's 2.3 Bugatti at Brooklands and IoM
1936
raced works 2-litre Riley in the International Trophy and a Bugatti T51 at Southport and other sand-racing venues
1937
raced Martin’s P3 Alfa Romeo in the Empire Trophy, Rayson's 4CM Maserati in the Coronation Trophy at Crystal Palace, a Lagonda at Le Mans and in the TT, a Riley in the Donington Park 12hr race, Eccles's 2.3 Bugatti at Southport and an ERA in the 200 Miles Race at Donington Park
1939
raced Ansell's ERA in the Empire Trophy at Donington and a Lagonda at Le Mans
His Aston Martin record at Le Mans, which VDP presumably knows about, was third overall in 1935, retired in 1949 and sixth overall in 1950. He was also second in class in the 1935 TT and third overall in the 1949 Spa 24hrs.

I always have and always will - in informal contexts anyway
That's what they everyone called them until the relatively recent intervention of pedantry
And, anyway, it's a lot easier to write 'P3' than Tipo B Monoposto
