Nice to have a few surprises in the first race already, except for the surprised ones!
Costaz and panzani have underestimated Bourdais, whereas dnbn has done so with Nakajima.
If Barrichello had made it to the points, he would have upset big chunks of the players.
A 26 point initial penalty for kNt, whose entry was 728 points, a bit too big.

The entries

The following list shows the maximum and minimum bets on each driver, plus the interesting 2008 Popularity Poll, which is the average of all bets on each driver, rounded off to integer values. In order to make the points sum 702, Rubens Barrichello's average was rounded off upwards; his average actually being around 3.487. List sorted according to Popularity Poll.

Name	Max Pop Min

Räik	134 111	77

Hami	128	99	45

Mass	120	92	68

Rosb 66	39	22

Piqu 49	26 8

Webb 47	23 9

Coul 36	17 5

Klie 3 0 0

Gros 2 0 0

Chan 1 0 0

Wurz 1 0 0
The BMW boys look a bit underrated now, don't they? Stupid me even edited away a few points from my guess there...
The Popularity Poll scored 39 points in Australia.

How many players have guessed each driver for WDC?

Driver Players

Räik	30.5

Hami 4.5

Mass 2

Heid 1

Alon 1
A draw is predicted by panzani...
The average score predicted for the WDC is 113.282 points. Predictions range from 98 to 134 points.

Teammate battles: Which driver is expected to outscore his teammate?

Owner Owned

 <- =	->

Räik 37	0	2 Mass

Heid 26	1 12 Kubi

Alon 39	0	0 Piqu

Rosb 38	1	0 Naka

Webb 31	1	7 Coul

Trul 32	1	6 Trul

Vett 26	3 10 Bour

Butt 31	5	3 Barr

Fisi 27	8	4 Suti

Sato 7 30	2 Davi

Hami 36	0	3 Kova
Pretty clear favourites for team leadership in most teams; BMW Sauber and Toro Rosso being the hottest battles.
Super Aguri are unfortunately predicted to be a close battle due to an overall lack of points...

The Popularity Poll WCC:

Team Points

Ferrari 203

McLaren 176

BMW 97

Renault 78

Williams 54

Red Bull 40

Toyota 28

Toro Rosso 12

Honda 10

Force India 3

Super Aguri 1

If the Popularity Poll somehow would turn out to be 100% correct, the final standings would look like this:
Pos Name Tot

1) Moanaman 683

2) Estwald 667

= LB 667

Moanaman scores the win for most average guess of the year!

The Drivers' list

Driver Expect Surprise Beat

 % % #

Bourdais 36,4 10,5	2

Nakajima 19,4 8,6	1

Heidfeld 15,5 7,2	0

Rosberg 15,5 9,0	0

Hamilton 10,1 7,8	0

Alonso 9,7 4,6	0

Kovalainen 5,2 3,7	0

Räikkönen 0,9 0,7	0
An excellent start in F1 for the Frenchman, even as his engine blew!

EXPLANATIONS:
Expect: Expectation fulfillment. The driver's current points score as a percentage of the average points placed on him (not rounded off to integer points)
Surprise: The driver's points score as a percentage of the maximum points placed on him plus one. When this number is reached, the driver has achieved a 100% surprise, by beating the highest expectations on him for this season.
Beat: How many players' expectations the driver has managed to beat. The maximum amount is the number of entrants for the season; for 2008 this is 39.

Guesses on the latest points scorers:

I'm trying to improve this list a little, but I'm not done yet. I'll get it uploaded later on, hopefully...

The PTPC forecast
Will appear after the Spanish GP.
At this point, let's just say that if every race has the same result as this first GP, the winner will be control with a mere 401 points...

Bourdais nearly took my entire points allocation for him, oh well I guess it was "one off" extreme attrition race.
