I prefer the A1GP safety car. Since they did a deal with Ferrari to supply engines and chassis design for 2009 onwards, they've been using a 599 as the safety car. I bet there's plenty of takers for the job of driving that.

I thought in F1 someone, who is mortal, was not allowed to get that close to the pits. What gives ?
Are there pit passes in F1 for the mere mortal too ?

...i swapped my immortality for a pitpass. :(
i'm a marshall of the lowest rank but we are allowed in pitlane after the racedays are over...thursday/friday/saturday around 6.15h.

Wow, you are a lucky man!

The facelifted SL looked fantastic on screen, I was really iffy about it when they first released it's pics (and when I saw spyshots), however, after the race, it has certainly grown on me. It is definitely enough of a refresh on the look to bring it in line with the new S, C, and CL. I love the way it sounds as the backdrop note of the F1 engines.

I think the rear lights should have been refreshed as well, I kind of find it odd that from the back it looks like an old generation Benz, and from the front it looks like a new generation Benz. Ahhh... too nitpicky!

Fantastic pics, and thanks for sharing!
