Eurosport used to show the porsche supercup on GP days, but I have noticed that they no longer broadcast it, does anyone know why? Is it because they dont have the GP2 rights anymore so have decided to stop showing the supercup as well?
Does anyone have a link to watch it online?

Eurosport's last great hurrah came at the Bahrain GP where on the Sunday they showed the Speedcar race, the GP2 Asia race and the Porsche Supercup.

An ideal way to warm up for the F1, a complete race package. And then it was all over...

The Porsche Supercup is still racing at each Euro F1 round, the only difference is that Eurosport lost the GP2 coverage to ITV, so its not worth Eurosport sending people/equipment to each round just to cover the Porches.

ITV have declined to cover it, you'd have to ask them why.

And since Eurosport stopped broadcasting GP2 there is not many people outside UK that can see it. That is bad for motorsport.

when is GP2 on ITV? I've never caught it.

Is it like Nascar on British TV, broadcast around 4 in the morning!??

It's live on Saturday and Sunday on ITV4.
Quite good coverage, with Mark Blundell and some bimbette. Better than Eurosport IMHO.

Agreed. And I can't say I miss the Porsches either.

Camera work is supplied by FOM, Eurosport supplies the commentators which are based in their own countries. They dont send any people or equipment to the races.

I'm pretty certain they used to for GP2, frequently they would spot things happening in the pits off camera.

Isn't every single NASCAR race live on UK TV now? I'm not a fan of it personally but I'm pretty sure it is always live on Sky Sports.

Who is the presenter on GP2 on ITV4? She is very easy on the eye, not so much on the ears though!

ITV have been showing the Porsche Supercup, but only as a highlights package during the GP2 coverage at the following GP on ITV4

So no-one really knows who owns the rights, either way it is totally shite that it isnt on British TV, It was great watching alll the action from a GP weekend on a sunday now we have a big Supercup shaped hole between 11 and 12 on a GP sunday.

Now if only they'd axe the supercup itself...

I watched the Porsche supercup in Istanbul, but on French Eurosport. I believe that they have an agreement with TF1 which is licensed to broadcast both Porsche and GP2. I watch F1 live on TF1, and it is broadcast again later in the day on French Eurosport.
