Oh Yeah...I am well versed on arranging those accidents ;)

You will find the GP on La Deaux (RTBF) AT 6:55 AM
I suggest a few strong cocktails the night before for her to precipitate the credibility of an accidental discovery!!!

Bon Chance.

This thread came in very handy in helping me find a place to watch the Belgian GP in New York. Ended up watching it at 8am at The Australian pub on 30th street (near 6th Ave). Great place with many screens and about 30 or so people there for the race! Thanks everyone!!

I know there's a recommendation in the first post, but are there any other tips on good places to watch the Japanese GP in Tokyo ? I'd imagine it'll be on in a number of bars as it's the home GP, but is there anywhere esecially good in the city as a whole, and anywhere near Shinjuku ?

I caught this one late. As Jon suggested, hop to Roppongi from Shinjuku is not far; he has address to that bar couple of threads above. I did watch it actully on Fuji alive, because I got stuck at the office, and could not make it to the track.

What about Indianapolis? I know of several places to watch F1 in Indy. But is there any particular place in Indy where abundant fans gather to watch F1?

I watched Force India qualify 2nd for the Italian GP at Tate bar in Colva Beach, India. Very accommodating and a great atmosphere.

:D
Unfortunately no foreign feeds now :|
Once upon a time, there was a club named "Formula 1" that shown (pirated) Digital F1 from Dutch Canal+ with different channels on multiple screens
Those were the days...
The grass was greener, I was spending all my spare time making Russian version of DailyF1.com website and for some races there were several hundreds of spectactors in the club
But all good things must end someday, eh?

Be warned that only Setanta has F1 in Ireland...Indy and NASCAR are on the usual suspects.

miss you....

FYI We have ITV/BBC everywhere in Ireland - (on terrestrial or cable/satellite-always had too).

I saw the ad at the bottom for the George Payne in Barca, anyone recommend or is it just full of stag do's drinking their own vomit as most Irish bars in big euro cities? :D Not sure the missus would put up with the GP and that...

No problem! Its a fantastic resource!

I used it last August to watch Spa while in NY. One of the links led me to another link etc. I will get the details of the NY pub (and Aussie one) and post here

Do any of our German friends here, know a good place in Oberbayern to catch the race on Sunday?

I'm in Ruhpolding for the week, is Traunstein the best bet?

Hi again.

I'm going to be in Kyoto, Japan with a group of friends during the Japanese GP weekend this year. I hope to be able to get to Suzuka for the Friday (BTW does anyone know if they sell Friday-only tickets?) but I may need somewhere in Kyoto to watch on Sunday, and preferebly also on Saturday. We may be staying at a business-type hotel (in which case I should be fine with Fuji TV) but we might instead be staying in a ryokan without TV...

So, any recommendations for sports bars etc. in Kyoto will be gratefully received, gents.

Were I in Singapore I might fancy the big screens up in the roof bar at the Stamford Hotel

After spending the last few days recovering from the experience of dodging Jitney's slicing through Manila traffic at 70MPH...
The dice were rolled last night to decide where I was going to turn up to watch the races.
Jp DOES get lucky sometimes and today, to my great surprise, I have stumbled upon a secret paradise here at my friend Riccardo's ranch house in the Maui hills (complete with 3 satellite systems) so F1/Indy and relaxing pleasures, unknown to us touring types, sit right here along with my new friends the Hawaiian Alpacas who are entertaining me with wooly antics as I type.

Good luck race fans

Here is a good one in Budapest, Hungary:

BOXUTCA Restaurant

Budapest, VI.
Bajcsy Zsilinszky út 21.
www.box-utca.hu

Been there, huge screens (like 3-4metre wide) , free wifi, had lunch and watched fifa eurocup few years ago but having an actual Mclaren MP4-16 parking next to me kinda suggested its a good place to watch f1 too. Photos of Kimi, JPM, JV, Coulthard visiting the place were all hanging on the walls. (just came to think, non of these guys are in f1 anymore:D)

I'm going to be in New York,
I was thinking more along the lines of tv stations rather then locations. I'm not sure my wife would be too pleased with me drunkly rolling back to the hotel a 5 in the morning - but if that is what is required i'm more than happy to try out some of the suggestions in the opening post....

Ahh...Gotcha.
It's SPEED Channel only I am afraid.
And as there are not many hotels in NYC with full tier Time-Warner cable you may just have to "get creative"
The only one's I know of are the Mandarin Oriental and the Pierre.

Check the link in my sig. The live broadcast times in the Eastern time zone are pretty late at night, and this is the only race with no replays this year, so, if you miss it live, there's no chance to see it.

I can't watch the next Grand Prix as I will be travelling by car trough Germany. Is there a radio station that broadcasts the race or that at least gives information? I found the following on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia....io_broadcasters
They don't list a German radio station but hopefully the list is incomplete.
