I can't watch the next Grand Prix as I will be travelling by car trough Germany. Is there a radio station that broadcasts the race or that at least gives information? I found the following on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia....io_broadcasters
They don't list a German radio station but hopefully the list is incomplete.

That IS a tough one Ruud
RTL have many stations up and down the country but I have never known any to cover the race. You might get the odd update.

Do you have a web enabled phone?

Hi guys,

I'm getting into Gare du Nord at 10.17 on Saturday so will miss Q1. Does anyone know a bar close to the station where I can catch Q 2 + 3?

Cheers,

B

To spare you the anguish of searching....may I offer you this.
The GOLDEN ARROW WHISKY BAR in the Mercure at the Terminus Nord will have TF1
Be nice and ask en français.

Bonne chance

That Mercure bar is probably not going to work it's not open that early and often closed in the weekend.

Try one of the little bars/cafes opposite the main entrance, they often have a TV and asking nicely if you can watch "les essais qualificatifs Formule 1 sur TF1" should get the job done.

Good luck, will you be watching the race in Paris on Sunday too?

You will strugle to find any place that would have sports so early in the morning. Your best bet is to find a hotel with a sports screen and just tip the waiter/receptionist and get them to change the channel. As for cafes zero chance unless you know the right places.

Not very near the station but if you give Belushi's bar a call at the St Christophers hostel they might have it on, they showed BBC channels when I stayed there last week. :)

OK s sportsbar right next to the Gare du Nord

Bar Le Duvel
22, rue de Dunkerque
75010 Paris

map & contact info in the link and open from 07.00h

If you run from the platform you might just make the end of Q2 and all of Q3 ;)

What is up with you making contrary replies to me... in every thread which I offer my two cents ?
The bar I mentioned is open plan to the lobby all you need do is switch on the TV (done it a few times myself)

Anyway..Good Find with Le Duvel

Thanks guys! That's amazingly helpful, you're heroes everyone of you! All I need is for Eurostar to get me there on time...hang on a minute, I see a flaw in my cunning plan...

JPW, I won't be in Paris for the race, going skiing - any ideas where I can go in the Three valleys? Anyone? (he said hopefully...!)

I do have a web enabled phone, but downloading data outside my home country would be very expensive. In Switserland I found a radio chanel that broadcasted updates: http://www.radiopilatus.ch/ In South-Germany I couldn't find anything.

Where not to watch racing in Canada is at home TSN's coverage has become a complete joke. I really don't know why they bother.

Where to watch in Miami is my appartment. Literally not a single bar in this city shows racing on TV, ever, unless it's something like the Daytona 500 or Indy and then everyone just ignores it anyway.

Can anyone suggest a location to watch in Hamburg on sunday ?

My flight gets in at 11.25 and my hotel room won't be available till 4pm, whereas the race starts at 2pm....I need a good bar, preferably in the 'Dammtor' area.

Buck's Sportsbar is good and not too far away.
Just go over Lombardsbrucke from Damntor.
Or the King George has a Sky satellite.
If that's a no go the Radisson is right near you too.

Good luck brother

ESPN Bar in Times Square: pain in the arse area to walk through, but they have about a million screens and will show anything you request. Get there early enough and you can order a booth, which gives you sound as well.

Venice, Italy - can I rely on RAI to show the race live? I will be on a boat but in dock for the British GP.

Slightly OT, will they show the World Cup final too?

Question:
Do you have a usb DTB tuner handy?
They are cheap, easy to use and available at all good electrical stores.
Here's mine.
http://www.elgato.co...roduct1.en.html

I do believe RAI will be playing both.
However, check here
http://www.rai.it/dl...aProgrammi.html
Now the bad news...
Unlike the rest of Italy, Venice is crap for terrestrial TV signals.

Best of luck F1Johnny

On the 11th of July I'll be in LA (Chatsworth). Does anyone know of a good opportunity of which channels might broadcast the F1 race? I'm not sure that Radisson provides some sports channels.
Or some F1 bar/club (where I dare to go)?

Thanks for every hint,

Ahh the Valley..Jp's old stomping ground.
Now the porn capital of the world.
(the two are not related)

You will find the race on your hotel TV as it airs on FOX (channel 11) on a tape delay at 9am.

Wish I had better news for you.
THERE IS NO LIVE RACE COVERAGE ON US TV
Race is on FOX WFLD on a delayed broadcast...11 am your time
The good thing is that every TV will have this channel.
Channel 11 or 32

Qualifying is on SPEED channel at 7 am
(good luck finding that)

OK, well the best I could find in Mumbai was the (ahem):

Manchester United cafe bar
Palladium, High Street Phoenix, Phoenix Mills, Lower Parel, Mumbai.

Not exactly ideal, but big screens and a bit less depressing than the hotel room.

i'll be in phnom penh for the brazilian race which starts at 11pm - any tips on venues?

also for chiang mai - i'll be there for the abu dhabi race which starts at 8pm.

thanks!

The Marriott there has one of those CHAMPIONS sports bars...
Sure they would have it although SPEED coverage may well be blacked out.

Thanks for the info Jp. Turns out that Fox Sports shows F1 in Mexico and most hotels show that channel. Managed to watch the race in the comfort of my room :)

Hey Clipper
Go to FREEBALL it's hysterical
Failing that this page lists a few other options

For live broadcasting ask for a channel called SKY Perfect 721
(Fuji delays it's F1 broadcasts)

Good Luck

There's no shortage of pubs to watch F1 in Luxembourg center Jp, I think I watched it in the blackstuff some years ago.

- The Black Stuff, www.blackstuff.lu
- The White Rose, off the Av. de la Liberte, tel. 691 52 32 07
- Brittania Pub, www.britanniapub.lu

You might want to check beforehand because with qualy late afternoon it might clash with the Premier League football, anyway in every hotel you'll have BRT/Canvas and RTBF/La Deux anyway (same in Gent).

Will try to get you a proper address to watch it in Utrecht later.
