I am trying to find a photograph of Rupert Edward Lee "Buddy" Featherstonhaugh winning the 1934 Albi Gran Prix. He won the race in a Maserati 26M with Team Straight. Ideally, I want a photo of him holding the trophy cup, however, any photos of him would be of interest. I am preparing an article about his life as part of a research project into the Featherstonhaugh family. Any help or suggestions where I might track down any photographs would be much appreciated.

Welcome to TNF!

I don't have a copy of it, but there is a book - in French - specifically about the Albi GP, which might have a picture: "Albi et ses Grands Prix 1928-1960" by Bernard Pelissier. Not cheap though:

Scroll down to "Les Autres".

Publicly available pictures of 30s races are hard to come by. On their website, LAT have just one of Featherstonhaugh, taken during the 1935 Empire Trophy:

They probably have more, but you'd need to contact them direct.

The GP Library probably have some too: http://www.gplimages...o.uk/about.html

There's also the Brooklands Society website, but their photo galleries are continually "under construction" and there are many unidentified images.

Welcome, feathers!
Good to have someone here with real connections to the early/middle years of our sport.
If you are interested, there are other threads referring to RELF, such as this one
