No Josta, Kimi hasn't gone from one thing to another in a couple of days.

Autosport's sensationalist reporting in the run up to the British GP has done that.

There is no point in this thread.

Any issues with autosport.com headlines please use the relevant forum.

Forget the titles, those are written to attract attention, not tell a story.

Compare the quotes:

First article: "We expect to be really competitive at Silverstone." And second: "It's good to come here with a car that can fight for the win."

Second article boils down to simply: "I think it's going to be quite close between us [McLaren]".

Not that big of a shock, I'd say. :)

For the drop kicks who haven't bothered reading the articles before commenting...here is how it panned out. It's just some creative headlines.

"We expect to be really competitive at Silverstone," he wrote on the Ferrari website. "This week all the teams will test there ahead of the British GP: I'll drive on Thursday after Felipe has tested two days. I like the track and I have fond memories of it: it's good to come here with a car that can fight for the win."

was turned into "kimi expects to dominate" by autosport on tuesday

Today this was posted...

When asked by autosport.com if he agreed with the common perception that Ferrari will be as quick at Silverstone as they were in Magny-Cours, he said: "I hope it will be. McLaren are always strong here, and I'm expecting that next weekend.

"I think it's going to be quite close between us and I don't see the other teams being close enough for the win, but with them (McLaren) it is going to be a tight fight."

Only whiny fan boys belive the .7 Lewis had today in TESTING (geddit....testing, not qual) has got everyone running scared. for chrissakes Glock was P2, you think there going to challenge for a win this weekend?

I'm sure Kimi and Ferrari have gotten plenty of reassurances from the FIA that McLaren will not be an issue for them. ;)

in what way do you mean this?
tin foil hat wearer thinking mclaren will be penalized for doing nothing wrong?

or saying they cheated before and were caught and will cheat again and be caught?

hopefully not the first. if so - read heikki's comments on the penalties.

It seems Kimi has been unnerved by McLarens speed at Silverstone.

In the course of a couple of days, he has gone from Raikkonen expects Ferrari to dominate to Raikkonen predicts tight battle in Britain

It sounds like McLaren are starting to scare Ferrari with pace of development.

OK, come on autosport.com editors. Are you going to defend yourselves, or is it true that autosport has reduced itself to tabloid reporting?

It's been good enough treatment for Alonso for the past few years, why is it such an issue now?

Since when in the first article did he say they will dominate? He said he expected them to be really competitive. You should blame the editor for saying that.
