I'm going for Heidfeld. His form at BMW this year has been, meh, and I think Red Bull would pick him up easily. Or, Renault may opt to ship Piquet off to Red Bull for his second season.

Thoughts?

Wow. He's not even left yet. That's F1 for you. Vettel of course though.

Berger mentioned Vettel may end up at Red Bull next year

Vettel is clearly the most logical solution.

They'll move Vettel to Red Bull. Any other young prospect can then slot in at STR.

I agree. Vettel is a proven minor risk. Bruno is not. He might just tank. Smart money is on Vettel.

He's no playboy and stays out of trouble and gets results. BMW might be eyeing him too.

Vettel of course, all the hype the RBR galaxy is building around him isn't there for nothing, and it is time for them to pick someone from their driver program to give it the credibility and legitimity it lacks.

Red Bull could have hired Heidfeld in 2005 and opted for Klien and Coulthard. They chose not, so why hire him now when he is older?

Vettel is the obvious choice, but I would like to see Bourdais get a shot.

Yes, can't help but feel a bit sorry for Bourdais, since there isn't really a very clear pattern on who's the quickest man at Toro Rosso right now, but it all comes down to Bourdais being 29 years old, while Vettel is 21.

I hope Bourdais can still remain in F1 next year, either in Toro Rosso or somewhere else.

Exactly! I'll bet a vast sum of money that Vettel will be at the Red Bull 'A-Team' from next season onwards.

Piquet me thinks.

Wouldn't be a bad thing for Nelsinho or Red Bull imo.

What would be the benefit to RB?

All the signs say Vettel to Red Bull. He's contracted to Red Bull for a good few years, Dietrich Mateschitz refused to sell him to McLaren last year, Helmut Marko more-or-less confirmed he would make the step up next year...

Would be cool, if Nick H to RedBull, Alonso to BMW, Webber to replace Alonso and Vettel takes the seat alongside Nick Hiedfeld. Wont happen though.
