Hello all!

OK, so I've been bad again, and that's why you haven't been seeing any game results since - I'm ashamed to admit - the Turkish GP. Bad form, I know - and I'm sorry.

Anyway, I've decided to post all the missing results in a single thread (this one) instead of starting half a dozen new threads. For clarity, each round will get its own post. Because I don't have much time tonight, I'll keep this very brief and only post the essentials - I'll add commentary, smilies and whatnot later.

Resurrection!!!

I'm back with the Hungarian results. Correct answer(s) would've been "222 XX1 1XX 211" but this was an exceptionally difficult round as even the best of us only managed 7 out of 12 guesses correct.

The best of the bunch this time were Matt Foster and scheivlak who were tied in the first place. Makarias was third. Congrats!

OMG!!! It's alive! It's alive!

In other words, I'm back (and about ****ing time, I'm sure we all agree).

A quick glance at my trusty old worksheet thingy reveals the embarrassing fact that the last time I had a stab at game results, I got stuck on round 11.5 (apparently I started on the European GP results but I must've got distracted with something or other since I never got round to finishing those). Sweet Jesus on a pogo stick, I'm worse than Kimi this year! Only cheaper and blonder (even if it's mostly from a bottle).

But anyway, here's an in-a-nutshell version of round 12 results. Not a terribly impressive round in terms of total scores but last season's almost-champion shays leads the way ahead of D82 and ville. Congrats!

I don't know if it was the rain or what, but LB absolutely destroys the field, lapping even the best of the rest at least twice or thrice. The best of the rest is Crazy Canuck who in turn laps the best of the rest of the rest - even if 'only' once. Behind the dominant duo the competition is a lot closer with D82 continuing his good form with another podium finish. Well done, guys!

Speaking of updates, the correct answer for Singapore was "2X1 112 X12 11X" but no one got particularly close to getting that even mostly right. So, not a terribly impressive round by any means, but who cares about impressing people when you can win stuff?!? Which Xig does as he/she narrowly beats fisichella_2001 to the flag. Estwald finishes third.

The Japanese round goes to Apex who in a three-way mad dash to the finish edges his nose cone ahead of garth_b and scheivlak who end up second and third, respectively. Well done and all that!

Woohoo - go me! - the updated overall standings are finally here. *drum roll*

And OMG, it's a FIIIIIGHT!!!! With two GPs to go, scheivlak has managed to muscle his way past LB, but the two are separated by no more than 0.53 points which is just as little as it sounds. Behind the leaders, dnbn, Apex and Estwald are still in with a chance as well - a strong result in China and/or some faltering by the frontfunning duo and we could have a new championship leader going to Brazil. Sadly, I think I'm already out of contention myself. Darn and all that.

First off, a note to Apex: your Chinese guess was missing a duel (there were only 11). Specifically, you guessed "X1" for duels 7-9. It appears obvious you intended the 'X' for either duel 7 or 8 (happily enough, it was the correct answer for both) so I calculated the results as if you'd guessed duel 7 correct and then disqualified your guesses from duels 8 and 9.

If anyone has a problem with what I did, feel free to complain about it. I may even change my mind if your argument's compelling enough, but I'd like to think what I did was fair. Besides, there was no noticeable effect on anyone else's score, only Apex's.
