Is that not Mike Hawthorn?
He always wore a bow-tie....

...different era.

i'd bet he was forcing him to listen to 100hr motivaitonal speech narrated by Ron dennis in ronspeak, and thus Frank gave up and let montoya off to mclaren.

I have a whole raft of great photos that are clearly marked copyright f1-live.com. Is it permitted to post them here?

No. And the photos belong to an agency/photographer anyways.

When did that happened?

It was during practice for the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix. Érik Comas crashed his Ligier at Blanchimont and lost consciousness; Senna was the next driver on the scene and stopped his McLaren to help. He held Comas's head upright until medical personnel arrived, in order to make sure that his airway was clear. Comas missed the race, but was not seriously hurt.

By co-incidence, Comas pitted with a serious vibration just before Senna's fatal crash in the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, and was allowed back onto the circuit despite the race being red-flagged. He arrived at Tamburello and was flagged to a halt, but was unable to do anything to return the favour that Senna had given him as the medics were already present.

Interview with Comas about the incidents.

But every single photo in this thread belongs to an agency/photographer.

Show me one that is in the public domain (at least not any modern ones).

If anything, a copyright notice is branding whereas an unlabeled image does nothing for the copyright owner.

But an F1 Live image will say on it F1 Live and/or the agency too, that's just asking for the images to be deleted or the thread shut down.

American M10 "Wolverine" tank destroyers at Monza in 1943. They set a lap record not broken by any other tank until Senna topped it in the HRT in 2010.

And comas still had is foot on his accelarator, so luckily Senna also switched off the engine on time,

That's just "a picture"

And if you guys are going to post random, copyright-infringing debris, could you at least size them properly?

Yeah, come on guys it isn't that hard. Download the pic, resize it to something manageable like 800x800 and save it seperately, then upload them both. Use [img] tags for the smaller pic and then [url] for the bigger one so anyone who wants full-res can see it.

So instead of posting in a way convenient for everyone, we should all post in a way annoying for most but convenient for you?

In what way is this inconvenient?

Hi-res
