At least for the time being, the group is open to all. Hopefully it won't be abused - but stronger admin mechanisms are available in case of trouble.
Please join the group if you're a Flickr user, and especially please contribute your photos to the group.
N.B. This is intended to supplement but not to replace any aspect of the forum - I wouldn't want people to stop posting photos here as usual. I'm also not expecting the Flickr group to be used for discussion (except perhaps for comments on individual photos)... that sort of thing belongs right here.

I have a Flickr account, but my company's firewall blocks me from viewing at work.
Gary, why can't I see your photos?

"Sharing of photographs associated with The Nostalgia Forum, which is a forum of the Atlas F1 Bulletin Board: "I have just signed up; my first reaction is that it has turned into a digital card dump. Can I suggest that some folks are a little more selective in what they stick up there?

Give us a list of the ones that don't match that, and we'll see what we can do, dude.

Probably not a single one; dude.
If I cover a race meeting, shoot maybe 400 racing images and a hundred paddock photos; the Pictures Ed selects three or four, sometimes only one, or none, that would be about right.
I'm forgetting, this is not a photo forum.

It's easy to start a photo forum on Flickr.
Reminds me: who's paying for the TNF account? May I participate?
Well ...

Granted the thumbnails for the groups are small, but since all my stuff is TNF stuff you can look at my snaps this way, via the photostream and you get a much larger thumbnail.
Keep in mind that photostreams show the images in chronological order, the newest visible first...

Depends how you lay 'em out:Sorry to veer blatantly off track, but what does Flickr do that the many other image hosting sites don't do? I personally am a confirmed user of Photobucket, and when you post images there, all you see is the image, not a lot of Flickr layout and bluster with a small image somewhere on the page...

Point taken, Chris and thanks for reminding me of a happy day Scatting en France. I have to say though, Photobucket does it for me.. All the images I have posted have been hosted there, and I seem to have managed to work it out OK.Depends how you lay 'em out:

have added lots of previously unseen champ car stuff and people shots...mario, newey, tyler alexander, a couple of unsers named al, a couple of a guy named mears and various other no-accounts.
the majority of them i took at test sessions at laguna seca where i was usually the only media type allowed in.
some of the most enjoyable times in my career.
over 3500 images in the group now. lots more to come from this part of the world.
