Apex cunningly edited his guess to wet after practice, and thus got well into the Top Eight points.
With a bit more smarts he woulda guessed further away from Kooper, so the 0.1 second penalty wouldn't have put him in second...
Obviously the results really can't get worse than this, as nothing but the ever-present Top Eight points was awarded.

The only way to get a lower Average Score than this is to have similar freakiness with the weather, plus more players.

I decided not to include the 0.1s penalty to the Slow entry, as it sort of didn't impose it on itself.
The three rain guesses pulled the PP up to fourth slowest overall.
Note the horrendous total score for Fast, which probably has its last chance to save at least a bit of honour in the hazardous guessing for new circuit Singapore next time.

Apex clearly pulled away, much to my dismay. But if he keeps on guessing wet, it's far from over yet...

Just my opinion, but what Apex did was chicken ****. Cheated in other words. Yes, he cut the chicane and didn't give the position back.

What kind of game would this be if everyone did what Apex did? That the rules allow this shows there is a massive flaw in them. This is supposed to be a friendly competition (competitive yes), with everyone trying hard to guess as correctly as possible. Everyone is supposed to be playing on a level field and what Apex did was take an unfair advantage imo.

This whole deal stinks. If Apex wants to win this badly, he can have it. Deduct my score(s) or whatever, I'm out.

Whilst I'm not exactly going to throw my toys out of the pram over it (it is only a game on an Internet forum!) it does seem a little bit off to have quite a bit of an advantage in leaving the prediction as late as possible - especially well well after FP2! Why not make cut off for predictions or amendments up until FP1. Anything submitted after that won't be counted?

Now I know this is only an online game but Apex clearly broke the rules and yet he wasn't even punished! If you break the rules, you should be disqualified, he gained a clear advantage from entering a late entry and should be treated accordingly, The fact that he is in 1st overall is even worse. If he wins this championship because of the points he got by cheating it would be a very unfortunate end to an otherwise good game.

There's no need for anyone to be upset with Apex over this imo. What he did was 100% within the rules and if it wasn't, he wouldn't have scored a single point. So I gather that everyones beef is about the rule that allows entries or changes submitted after FP1 with a bit of penalty. I fully agree that this rule doesn't work well, and I will scrap it entirely from 2009 onwards, in favour of a hard deadline at start of FP1.
I will however NOT be tampering with the rules mid-season, and I will NOT change anything about this weekend's result. End Of.

Thank you for your attention.
