Bruno admitted to terra.com.br, that DTM is the plan B. He has never mentioned Indy cars, although I would like to see him there.

I suppose Plan A is to buy HRT together with Karthikeyan and employ his best friend Kolles to run teams operations.

Anyone heard any Bruno news?
It would be great to see him at Force India next year, but i have a sneaky suspicion that Sutil might get the drive instead. Unfortunately.
Caterham looks like the only other option, but you have to wonder if Petrov has secured his drive after getting the team up to 10th?
I definately think that Bruno deserves to be in F1.
Marussia maybe?

If this site is reliable it looks like Bianchi going to get the FI seat.

Renault Sporting Director said at the Brazilian GP that Bruno will be driving a Renault powered car in 2013. So, it has to be either Catherham or Lotus.

He's not allowed to enter GP2 now WSR looks good.

Why? Or being more accurate: what is the rule that wouldn't allow him to do so? I'm just curious because I'm not already aware of it. I thought there was a rule that GP2 champion can't race in this series anymore, but Bruno has never been a GP2 champion. Returns from F1 to GP2 were always possible, eg. Pantano, Glock, Grosjean.

Completed a season in F1. All the others missed a race(s).

Any reasons why Renault Sport wants Bruno in a car aside from that he has driven a Renault-powered car the last 2 seasons? Marketing?

Bruno is much better than his F1 career has shown for now. Well career... one year in the ridiculous HRT (not even all races) that you could barely call a F1 car. A few races in the Lotus without much preparations, and a full season at Williams with more support for Bottas than him. I bet he's definitely better than Maldonado, Di Resta, etc..., heck he could even wash some top driver's ears in the races in a top car.

He has had opportunities. The HRT experience may not have allowed him to show much but it at least gave him some experience. Then he had eight races (more than a few) for Lotus and a full season with Williams. I am all for drivers getting a proper evaluation period in F1, but Bruno has had a reasonable chance. I would not object to him getting another season at a midfield team, but if someone else gets the chance this time, then there is nothing to complain about.

Jalinier was the boss of Renault Brasil before, i think that explains why he wants to see bruno in a Renault powered car.

Yeah, you might be right. However it would be strange if Bruno goes to Lotus, there would be a conflict of sponsorships between Rexona(Lotus) and Gillette(Senna).

Bruno needs a miracle to get a seat next year....

Lotus: Even without Total money I would get Grosjean over Senna. With all the sponsorship deals lotus is signing and if they don't want to resign Romain, Koba is on the market, another safe option over Senna IMHO.
Force India: Everyday there's a news about some driver that has already signed with FI. But Senna isn't in any of them, even the Brazilian press is writing that Senna isn't on the team's shortlist.
Caterham: Pic is already signed and after Petrov have done in the second semester I think he is safe. The only hope for Senna is if Petrov has lost his sponsorship. But i don't think Bernie will wan't a Russian GP without a russian driver.

There's a US Grand Prix without an American driver, same for Hungarian GP, Abu Dhabi GP, Bahrain GP, Korean GP, SingaporeGP, BELGIUM GP, Chinese GP, CANADIAN GP, ITALIAN GP, MONACO GP and Malaysian GP.

Your point is irrelevant.

Does Bernie get a say in which drivers teams pick?

Still it is looking bleak for Bruno  . Hope he does well in whatever he does next year.

With any luck he'll say, "Vijay and Caterham Frenchie Boss, I need another Brazilian and a Japanese driver in the series next year. Take your pick."

Would Caterham really be a good choice for Bruno?

I doubt he will get the seat at Force India. Settling for Caterham just to be on the grid would be less than desirable. As they were supposed to have this great leap forward in 2012, and wound up being rather disappointing can't bode well for 2013?

FI would be ideal.....
No seat in 2013 could mean the end of F1 career which i think would be a shame.
Caterham could be OK, maybe they will move forward next year.

I agree about Force India. When I looked a few days ago, one of the media outlets was saying it was between Buemi and Sutil.

There's been little to no mention about Bruno regarding FI. I do think it would be a shame if he is left without a seat in 2013...even more so because of the way things ended in Brazil with Vettel running into him.

Probably for the better if you ask me. I don't think Caterham is a good place to go as they woefully underperformed the expectations they had for 2012. I'm not sure 2013 will be any better for the team. Just because they have Renault engines doesn't really mean anything to me as their overall package is less than stellar. I was hoping Lotus might bring him back as I think Grosjean is a walking calamity. Force India seems unlikely at this point, so the DTM might make the most sense at this point. I do suspect we'll see him at LeMans as well. A part of me would love to see him in IRL, but sticking to Europe might be a better option.

Oh, I do hope it's Force India. That would be wonderful. They have no reason to favour one driver over the other; and in a straight fight between Bruno and Paul I feel certain Bruno could come out on top.

I reckon hes got that FI seat :)

Indeed, you might notice the 'shopper declined to remove Williams associates McGregor and Alcatel from the side of Senna's helmet. It is based on Hulk in this image.

did he really turn down a caterham drive? Crazy if so. I like him and hope he stays in F1 but to be honest don't think he has shown anything yet to make me think he has the right to turn down a cat drive or even deserve a better one.

If Bruno gets the Force India drive, that says to me that there's some real money issues happening with Force India.

Incredibly interesting the lack of movement with the second Caterham and Force India seats.

could he not dump sponsors in order to get a drive though? Seems ridiculous to me. Caterham would have been a good seat for him I think.

Can't see Bruno getting anything. Caterham are now very likely to stick with Petrov who has resolved his sponsorship issues. Force India much more likely to go for Sutil or Bianchi.

Sorry Bruno

ok sorry I understand now, he still needs sponsors for the caterham drive but the ones he has aren't going to sponsor him to go there. Still seems utterly stupid to me, they should be jumping at that seat. But of course they would likely get very little return on their investment by being with caterham compared to a higher team which may not be worth it for them.
