It is documented that Jo Marquart came to Scotland in 1962 and worked for Scottish Omibuses. Whilst there he helped a friend who raced . Does anyone know who this was and what car they ran? I have also found out that Derrick Walker of Walker Racing (American Atlantic Race team) got his start in racing through meeting Jo while he worked for Scottish Omnibuses. Does anyone know what the pair worked at and in what depot they were based?

Jo Marquart was assistant the the Chief Engineer of the Scottish Omnibus co. in Edinburgh if this helps?

Jo helped garage owner Tim Y Wilson (Penicuik) who ran a Lotus Formula Junior in the early 1960's, following on by designing his first race car a group 4 two seater the Wilson GT for him and Alastair Mackintosh

At Ingliston in 1965.

I will get my lad to ask Alistair to speak with Tim about Jo next time he visits him.

Thank you for your reply. More information about Jo in Scotland would be of interest.
