Thankyou Giraffe for reminding me of Historic Race & Rally. What a superb publication it was.I have Issue 1 to 6,Volume 1,and I can only assume that was that,as I am sure I would have subscribed to any further editions.I don't think I even had time to read them in period, just filed them away for posterity! Now I have more time on my hands I intend to enjoy the content with great interest. Can I tempt you with a scan of the cover of the one you missed?!

That's the one! They occasionally turn up in magazine bins at shows and elsewhere, so there's hope yet! Issue 5 was another good'un, as it transpires.

Frank Lyons is listed in group G, in car number 25, 1976 McLaren M26. I believe this is M26/1.

By the way, here is Burani's "road car", parked outside a hotel near the Casino on the Saturday...750 Monza 0462M. He ran it in the Mille Miglia the following week...

Correct other than the 'road car' is father Walters' which he drives with great verve. Walter drove his 312 and also a modern F1 Ferrari in the demonstration at Monaco that year also. His real road car is an F40 !

Ronnie's 72/6 has gone to pastures new having given me massive pleasure for all those years.

Talking with Mike Wilds last evening, it would appear that Katsu Kubota is the latest custodian of 72/6. It is being prepared by Colin Bennett's boys and Mike will test it in the Spring... (hopefully at Mallory :cat: ).
