I got the race results, but I am looking for (full) qualifying results/grid + race reports of the 1948 and 1949 Grand Prix races held at Zandvoort. Any suggestions (apart from Motorsport magazine)? Thanks!

Old thread, and apologies if this has been posted elsewhere. Building of, and the first race at, Zandvoort.

Delightful! A fine time could be had playing "spot the drivers" in the prize-giving at the end!

The field for that first race was just like the VSCC races ten years later!
Well, the cars were although the drivers were different.
The amount of sand thown up by the wheels (at 11 mins. or so) was spectacular and must have played havoc with the superchargers, never mind the engines, of any following cars. Not a problem that was ever fully solved, so far as I recall.

Hi,
I like these reports very much: but it seems that page 1 of the 1949 report is missing
Do you still have it?
