Congrats, Philippe! Sadly, my French is not up to the job of reading a biography, so here's hoping...;)

Here's Mike on the grid in his 1 litre Brabham BT28 Lucas for the Tourist Trophy at Oulton Park in May 1970, where he finished 15th.
The language is pas de problem, but with the current exchange rate with the euro, it is plus cher and with p&p you would not see much change from a hundred quid!

I confirm that the book is in french in a first time ; a translation will be probably available before the end of 2009.
About the price, I'm fully aware of the money change's problem.
Thanks for your congratulations !
To Giraffe : a nice photo of Mike !
I'll be present at RETROMOBILE's 2009 issue > 06/07/08/11/13pm/15 february to dedicate the book (more precisions to continue).
With my best regards !

Merci, Philippe; vous et tres gentile! The photo was actually a backdrop to a pic of Dave Morgan which I took myself on the grid and then cropped out for the post. I spoke with Mike many times all those years ago, and he was a kind man who led a very colourful life; I saw him race many times.
For sure I will purchase your book as I'm sure it will be money well spent, Philippe!

Another pic I took of my old friend and marshal at the time, Mick Godfrey with Mike's Brabham BT28 at Oulton in 1970. Mick used to write race reports for Autosport when he was only 15 years old!!!
Mike Beuttler was a much maligned driver by his peers in period, which he did not deserve, and would not have suffered in these more tolerant times. He was undoubtably talented as a driver, but never had a car worthy of his talents at Grand Prix level.

The feature goes on to say the same basic tub design was still being used in the race winning 772 March in 1977.
Isn't it hard to reconcile the Max Mosely who ran March on such penny-pinching, expedient lines with the same man overseeing F1, where new rules render cars and components obsolete more-or-less every season?

I've heard about this for a long time and it's great to know that you've completed it!
You need a new project now ;)
