Virgin needs to step up and be sole sponsor of the car.

I think Branson got lucky and reaped a huge deal of publicity for little money, having said that I don't think he is interested in putting down the money needed to be the title sponsor

Even if a title sponsor was signed last week, there is no way for them to repaint the car until they're back in europe.

Depends on the livery. If white is to remain the base colour they could post out the necessary stickers.

Branson hasn't put in enough money to affect the colour in a big way IMO, and if he doesn't put more in I can't see RB just bowing to him and allowing him to get an easy option, they'll have sponsors looking at them right now so it will be interesting to see if they continue their great form if that brings big interest and a big new sponsor.

Virgin white is the perfect color for them.

Virgin are only sponsoring the team for 2 races, so I doubt they will change the livery.

What's with the green/yellowish color? It's hidious. The car seems like a winner, now they just have to make it look good. White and red for Virgin would be good , with some black/silver in there out of respect/thanks to Merc. Surely they can come up with a great design to start the European season?

If Brawn are again up near the front Im sure they can attract some decent sponsors. Even in this economic climate, you want to be associated with winning. Brawn is jsut at a disadvantage as they took over a team that didnt have any sponsors.

You obviously don't read all of his posts.

It's not on Autosport and it's not on the BBC. Neither is it mentioned in the Brawn/Virgin press release. So I'll reserve comment for now.

Looks like you didn't read it, either. It clearly says 'theoretically'.

After being the most exposed F1 car of the weekend Brawn should fire Fry on spot if the car is still going to be Virgin white in Malaysia.

Or Fry is good only in earth dreaming?

$250.000 per race is basically nothing. Brawn should fire Fry for that deal only.

Oh dear!

Look before you leap and all that!

At £250K a race Branson is getting a good deal. I don't think Virgin will become title sponsors but I do think that if Brawn win in Malaysia they will have no trouble getting one.

No, it's $250,000 a race. Nothing is nothing. Wanna see nothing? Look at the rest of the car and Button's overalls-ZERO.

People still don't get it, the era of megabucks in F1 is over.

Just because you read an article that said they have a 2 race deal does not mean they wont make it permanent. The deal was rushed by Branson to take advantage of the great publicity. To think they would walk away after Malaysia shows your lack of simple business sense. They are working on a long deal as we speak.

You do not need megabucks to sponsor Brawn in Malaysia. It is the deal of the century.

Things happen, our ad on a car in IndyLights series' tests (full rear wing) cost us $0 :)

Watch this space for an announcement soon. Branson hinted on Sunday that he was in a good mood, and could have his arm twisted to increase the sponsership. It would appear that he has dipped his toe in the water to feel the temperature, and finding it to his liking, will be jumping in with both feet soon. I may be wrong, but I fully expect a major announcement within the next few weeks.

Also, after Sundays result, and the invovlement of Virgin, don't be surprised to see at least 2 or 3 more sponsors appearing prior to Malaysia

Indeed! I can't figure out why there isn't a big "Power by Mercedes" sign on that engine cover!
If i was Haug i would have negotiate that after the last pre-season tests!

I don't see it on FI either. Looks like MB isn't willing to give the engine cheaper if the sticker is on the car and FI/Brawn aren't about to since they pay for the engines.

If the Brawns keep winning, and in turn gaining more TV exposure, keeping it white, green and fluorescent yellow will make Bernie absolutely disgusted, which is not a bad thing ...

I hope it doesn't look like a Toyota, there is an obvious risk given the Virgin logo ;)

They don't have to look like the Toyota. Paint the whole car Cherry Red and add with white letters: Virgin. Best looking car ever.

There is something refreshing seeing an F1 car without any signage.

And I quite like the lairy yellow - lets face it, it looks WAY better than the Renault...

White is a great color for race cars. I remember Senna testing a McLaren-Lamborghini without the classic Marlboro livery, and it looked fantastic.

A cherry red car with some of Virgin's customary nose art on the car...like this:

would be AWESOME.

They use it on their Planes and their Space vehicle...why not their F1 car??
