Hi!

Oh, shoot! The FIA/stewards seem to have gone and changed their minds about the whole Trulli/Hamilton position-swapping roulette, and as a result, the correct answers and, thus, also the results for round 1 have changed. Good thing I hadn't posted them yet - for once, my legendary inefficiency pays off!

Here are the correct answers and their value in points for round 1:

F1 Pools 2009: Australia (Round 1)

Qualifying:

1. McLaren – Ferrari 2 1,19 points

2. BMW Sauber – Renault 1 1,62

3. Toyota - Toro Rosso 2 1,96

4. Red Bull - Williams X 1,58

5. Brawn GP - Force India 1 1,04

6. McLaren - Brawn GP 2 1,42

Race:

7. McLaren – Ferrari 1 -

8. BMW Sauber – Renault	2 1,96

9. Toyota - Toro Rosso 1 1,42

10. Red Bull - Williams 2 1,96

11. Brawn GP - Force India 1 1,19

12. McLaren - Brawn GP 2 1,46

Maximum score: 16,81
Note that the results have been calculated as if Hamilton never was disqualified. That's because his DQ was of disciplinary nature and had nothing to do with his finishing the race in fourth place. The Toyota double-DQ after qualifying, however, hasn't been forgiven because they were guilty of a technical infringement that could at least potentially, even if unintentionally, have improved their performance.

Results
Congratulations, s c h e i v l a k and b r u n o p a s c a l - you're the joint winners of the Australian round! A job well done, not a whisker between the two of you. Third place on the podium went to X i g whose excellent qualifying effort kept him ahead of a whole bunch of racy folks with better Sunday pace. Yay!

If you disagree with the way I run this game or have an issue with a particular decision I've made, or you want to suggest a rule change, or just stuff, feel free to let me know - I'm open to being talked into changing my mind if you make a good case. I promise there will be no penalties for whinging or general hellraising - I'm nice like that.;)

See you on round 2! Bye!

Thanx kismet!

btw: I think those who scored 2,62 in the race should've gotten 2,61. Haven't calculated all, so I could be wrong, but from the table for the correct scores I couldn't find any combo that gives 2,62.

That's a rounding up/down issue. I calculate using accurate values, then round up/down when I present the results.

Maybe we should introduce a new scoring system where lowest score wins?

It takes a special skill to get almost no points when you are actually trying... :drunk:
