The idea for this topic popped into my head after looking at Jenson Button's Wikipedia page and seeing a black and white picture that had the caption "John Button" below it. I was a little thrown off by this, I wondered why they mislabelled a Jenson picture in such a way. Was it Wikipedia vandalism? Not at all. It was Papa Button.

Here is Pop's page, complete with the picture that turned my brain upside down: http://en.wikipedia....lycross_driver)

Yes, I know, everyone is supposed to resemble their mother or father but there are those times when the resemblance is strikingly eerie. I feel that the resemblance between Jenson and the John of the 70s is absolutely uncanny. You could surely colourize John Button's picture and pass it off as Jenson!

Bruno Senna is somewhat of a good example too. I wasn't an F1 follower when his uncle raced (since I was only 9 or 10 at the time of his incident), but I can definitely see a resemblance between Bruno and Ayrton, something that I find uncommon between uncles and nephews.

Are there any other examples of this?

Is it just me, or amid all the fuss lately about Bruno Senna, has anybody noticed how much Timo Glock looks like Ayrton in some photos? One example was his pic on the Toyota page in Autosport magazine's 2008 F1 season review. Now, I'm not trying to suggest anything in a relatives thread, but...

Maybe Senna slept around a lot in Germany.

Bruno looks a lot like his uncle. Same hair and similar features. It would be funny if a DNA test was done and Ayrton was really his father. OH!

Got me thinking about the number of relatives of racing drivers who have got into the top seats, is it that skill is hereditary or merely contacts and growing up within the sport?

I think it's a mix of heredity, know-how and contacts.
