Vettel really is the next Schumacher

The question is, how much better can he get than this? Remember he's only 21, he has another 15 years ahead of him in F1. I can see him equaling Schumacher's records tbh.

No it's a joke for a joke thread. For my real views you'd need to look in a real thread. Chinese race thread, for example.Originally posted by Dalton007

For one, he is a much more laid back, much more fun guy. Good heart, good humour, very nice personality.
This might be already his first WDC year!

Neither Hamilton, Alonso, Räikkönen, Massa - or even Schumacher - were the best by far. There is lots of talent in the grid. It always goes like this. The way drivers are rated mostly depends on their machinery, and results of last race.

Not such overreaction.
After all, Vettel has two maiden victories for two different teams within half a year!
There is no one else in the history of F1 who has achieved that.

Hamilton and Vettel were supreme today.
Kept a cool head as well - rivers of water on the track. Let's not forget that Vettel was 25 seconds ahead of his team mate in the same car at one point.

Oh right, haha. I'd love that to get posted in a topic focused on Lewis Hamilton's rain wins.

Why do people always insist after 1 good race that someone is going to change this pattern?
Gilles Villeneuve for example scored no WDC

It depends on the car also. Damon Hill had a number of great wet weather drives like that also. vettel had the best car today and maybe also last year at monzao so he hasnt performed any magic yet. He just got the job done.

We, now have Vettel, Lewis and Alonso, these will be fighting each other (car dependent) for the next decade.
I think the rest are a level below, with maybe only Kubica able to join them or an Kimi from the past.

In your book Massa must have driven a grand chelem in Silverstone 2008

How was LH superb? He started in front of his team mate, finished behind him, and went off several times. Nothing dreadful, but hardly supreme.Originally posted by BrawnsBrain

If he was in a Red Bull today he'd have been on Vettel's level, easily.
Always amazed how quickly people forget someone if they have one bad race. Hamilton on the wet for the past 2 years = unquestionably the rain king.

He was majestic in the rain (again), didn't put a foot wrong and declassed the entire field in the wet.
On top of that he's a charismatic and very likeable young man.
With the right management making sure he ends up in the right cars we could have ourselves a new Schumacher

He did not lap as many cars as Lewis did at Silverstone last year (lapped the entire field but 2 cars). I hardly call this a domination, especially when the teammate is only 10 seconds behind.

Good on you Sebastian, Great win, a pleasure to watch.
just for the record, I'm a Lewis fan, and I think his performance today was so-so. Lewis also admits it was bad, get over it folks, bring on the next racenext race!
