Does anyone out there remember a Mk II leaf-spring Cobra being built up from a collection of bits sold off by the Willment race team in 1966? It was built up into a car by two guys in West London and the first owner was (Lord) Angus Clydesdale, who at the time was in the RAF and raced a Mk 1 Lola, Chevron B8, Maserati 250F and so on. Martin Colvill bought the car in '75, and it re-emerged as a full FIA-spec racer, registered 13 COB, and has been racing virtually every season ever since - currently in the hands of Malcolm Young. But who put the car together?

Perhaps the Danbys recall something of that car being built

Roger

Thanks for the thought about the Danbys. It's a new name to me. Any way I can get in touch with them?
