Limited experience of signing these petitions is that when they close you get sent an e-mail reiterating government policy on the matter (or the government's intention not to have a policy on the matter, if that's the case) and that is all.
Since it was this lot who came off the 25-year rule, I expect their policy is still as it was then.
Further, I am happy not to have to pay RFL on the old cars, but it still makes me nervous that some day they'll say that because we don't pay we can't use the roads whenever we like.
