Help! In MotorSport issue December 2007 (the one with Lewis on the cover), there is an article on the Lotus Cortina. There are a couple of photos used, period black and white shots, one, the fantastic one of Jim about three car lengths in front of the field at Snetterton(?)with a healthy dose of oppostite lock applied ;) and the other a fantastic (and unusual) shot of Jacky Ickx, going up the hill onto the long circuit at Brands, front wheel dangling, on opposite lock, with the tail sitting right down. I am trying to trace the publisher of this, as I would like to obtain a copy, any ideas? I have looked on Mike Hayward's excellent site and also LAT, but no joy

I need to look at "Jim Clark, My Life At Team Lotus" as Peter Darley says that it is a Mk11 that the photo shows. Anyone have a copy at hand as my copy is on loan at the moment, or any ideas of the copywright of the MK1 shown in Decembers MS on page 122?

There is a pic of Jacky Ickx going into clearways in Peter Darley's book and it is indeed a Mk2, reg number CTC 24E. There is also a side view of this car going onto the long circuit, doing pretty much what you describe.

The clark one doesn't appear in the Snetterton chapter.

Just checked through my scanned documents files that I haven't sorted yet and found the article. The Ickx picture isn't the Peter Darley one. The Mk2 pics are from the front and side.

Thanks for looking Mark, the MS picture is fabulous, the search continues until I track it down!

Sterling:

Is this the photo in John Tiplers book, Lotus Racing Cars 1948-1968, on page 8?? He lists the photo source for that pic as his.
