Today I have a special question – back in the 70s any Formula 1 winner at the Nürburgring has got next to a trophy and a special winners ring (and I mean a ring you can put on the finger it is no laurel wreath or so). :)

Does one of you knows someone who has such a ring or replicas of it or can create replicas ... or someone knows the name of the jeweller’s (most likely in Adenau) who has made these rings?

The "Golden Nürburg-Ring" was presented to the overall winner(s) of the major races. There were several designs throughout the years, the last before the tradition ceased in the early 1980s was made by Juwelierhaus Meinecke from Mayen.

See "80 Jahre Nürburgring", Födisch/Behrndt, page 81. The book also contains a plastic replica of one of the rings.

All winners at the Nürburgring received a ring, the so called "Nürburgring".
The first driver to receive this ring was Rudi Caracciola in 1927. This tradition last till 1980 (not sure about this).
This is the ring, Kurt Ahrens, as Vic Elford, received after their victory at the 1970 1000 km race.
Owners of this ring can drive for free at the Nordschleife at any time during their lifetime.
