Duncan, as you know, this used to be a friendly place...

How do you know it wasn't used?

If I were searching for this subject, I'd use the words 'Neubauer' and 'scratching', but that's because I read the thread and know that would take me straight there. How's a newcomer to know this?

Ray,

I felt this reply was a little rude saying, in effect, "I know about the search button but did not use it" hence my reply. I must admit that I overlooked the fact that being a newcomer, jureF1 may not have been familiar with the limitations of the search functionality and the need to sometimes use multiple searches. My apologies!

Don't worry, I know about the magical search button ;)

thanks again :D

Not so! Von Brauchitch's special bodied Mercedes SSK at the 1932 Avusrennen was unpainted. This is the car that Paul Laven was referring to when he coined the term 'silberne Pfiel'.

I'm sure this information is on one of the threads that jureF1 could have found if he had used the "SEARCH" button.

That will be "Pfeil", not "Pfiel".

I did, but there was nothing in the first 2 pages. So, sorry for this horrific pain that I caused with this thread :)
And I hope this is the end of offtopic in this thread :)
