There is going to be a tribute to Mike at the Revival this year in the form of an early version of the Tourist Trophy Garage being built and although we've majored on ten or so cars for display, Mike did also ride bikes in his early days.

Does any one know who might have and be willing to loan a late 1930s James 122cc two-stroke for the display duration the three days of the event please? He had this in 1944 from his father Leslie as a present, aged 15.

There are several other possibilities as well if a James can't be found - his last competitive ride, for instance, was on a 350cc Matchless in 1954 and he won a second-class award in the South Reading Motor Cycle Club's Three Musketeers Trial with it. Another would be a 1947 350cc Competition BSA, a trials bike that he owned from new and had success with.

Thanks.
