Just a quickie : has anyone ever seen any photos from the non-Championship F1 race??
Have you had a look at the You Tube thread?
Roydpg posted some videos there.

tautosprint must have printed loads...
Yes indeed; for contemporary coverage they'll be the best I'd say.
Lauda had quite a big shunt that weekend IIRC. For folk who remember (or still have) a set of Marlboro BRM event stickers from 1972, the Vallelunga example is by far the rarest

Surely Youtube would be moving pictures, not "photos" as gary asked??
I only posted "in case" Gary hadn't spotted the You Tube thread (He didn't mention it).
A few months ago roydpg put up some of his Crystal Palace videos at almost the same time as I took a stroll around the old place and posted how the place looks now. So there was method in my madness

Yes, Roy has consented to me using his film in my Lotus 72 DVD, but was wondering if there were any stills out there..................
I know it doesn't count, Gary, but in 1990 I think it was we organised a demonstration of F1 cars with an Italian group at Vallelunga. I took 72/6 along and it was a big hit with the locals.
I could see what a fearsome track it would have been

Very nice! Aside ; is the track still in use today??
Yes they have World Touring Cars there I think. It had a fearsomely long run which wasn't quiiiiiittttteeee straight which was bloody scary, I think I recall some big accidents there in recent years.
We stayed in Rome, which was very nice, with some friends who were in that other branch of the Motor Sport Governing Body, the maFIA !
And that, as they say, is another story Gary...

It contained a left right left, kinks immediately after the pits which were / are pretty much blind and very very quick I seem to remember Yannick Dalmas having a huge shunt there in F3000 ending up in the tub in the middle of the road with cars flying by either side.
Edit - found it on You tube
