Gosh where do you get sunlight like that Alan ?

Sunlight???? It was so cold I lost most of my photos due to camera shake

The car was sitting at the front of the garage with the door open but I left the camera on settings for inside so it looks a bit brighter than it was.

"Speed King"

Mille Miglia 2003

Ah, King Carl Gustaf of Sweden...once famously let loose in the Rune Tobiasson BMW CSL "Batmobile" at the Gelleraasen track in Sweden. Made it all the way down the home straight from the startline, then, at the first corner, the Troeskurvan, he went straight on
into the gravel. Having been given some further advice from Mr Tobiasson, he had another go...and promptly stuck it into the kitty litter at the first corner again...

Yes, but he was just exercising his royal prerogative.

You could spend hours on the details on this car....mainly on the stickers which appear to be holding it together!!

That was my first thought when I saw Juiceie Bruceie’s car, the stickers being part of the structural integrity of the patinated bodywork.

I reckon they originally called him 'Davies' then made that sloppy correction when they found out their error.

I would suggest R10B for the back axle, as it had a gearbox change at April Silverstone - although it's black, rather than red. The red car, next to it in the garage, would be AJM1

I looked at the pics again and your correct Alan the red ERA I thought the back axle was from was back on it's wheels when I took the photo

Arttidesco,

Brain explosion on my part! I thought that the caption was wrong!

J.C. Agajanian and mechanic Frank McGurk brought a modified Kurtis 500G to the Brickyard for Troy Ruttman in 1958

I found a side-on view of the car, and the signwriting on the right hand side is identical to the signwriting on the close-up picture.
