Hi friends I need your help about the Challenge Mondiale and the World Prototype Championship.
In particular I can't find the scoring rule.
I know:
In each round a manufacturer took only the best score of his cars, but the scores of the other cars of the same manufacturer were "not assigned". (i.e if the result is 1st Ferrari, 2nd Ferrari 3rd Porsche with the classic scoring rule 9-6-4-3-2-1, Ferrari takes 9 pts, Porsche only 4)
In the World Prototypes Championship each round have a "scoring coefficent" (i.e. in 1964: 2 for Le Mans, 1,6 for Nurburgring 1000 Km ecc. ecc.)
The Challenge Mondiale had only four round: Sebring, Targa , Nurburgring, Le Mans
In 1966 the scoring rules (without scoring coefficients) were four:
1. 12-9-7-5-4-3 only for Le Mans
2. 10-7-6-4-3-2 for Daytona, Sebring, Nurburgring, Targa Florio, Monza
3. 9-6-4-3-2-1 only for Spa Francorchamps
My questions are:
in the Challenge Mondiale which was the scoring rule, 1,2,3 or another one ?
and in the World Protitypes Championship ?
Thank you
