Could anyone tell me why Renault and Ligier withdrew from participating in the final South African Grand Prix under the Apartheid regime? Was it about pressure from the Freanch government, or a desicion on common grounds, since they didn't have a World Championship to compete for! More info would be appreciated, since I'm working on motorsport politics in school at the moment ;)
