Friends:

Is anyone here interested in Porsche factory posters?

Have been collecting them since 1968. At one time my goal was to have one of each, from 1951 onward, but that was unrealistic, so am now trimming the collection down to favorites, mostly from the 1960s. At one time, Porsche created a poster for every major race and rally victory, and there must be almost 1,000 by now. Designer Erich Strenger really knew how to make a poster exciting, even when he had no photograph to use! His style changed with the times, but he was always ahead of the pack. His watercolors from the 1950s and 1960s are amazing.

Besides the race posters, Porsche also created the occasional showroom poster, and recently I supplied some of the images for the book, Porsche Showroom Posters, by Tony Singer. Several of the new images in the latest edition of Juergen Lewandowski's Porsche race poster book, Porsche die Rennplakate, also came from here, with the help of Carl Bauer. If you are interested in acquiring either of these books, or posters, see my web site.
