Hi !

Lets see if anyone can help me ...

I've just finished a mould of the Ferrari 712 (CanAm car from 1971) in 1/32 scale.

I need high resolution images of "Shell", "Firestone" and "Heuer" stickers used in that car, to do 1/32 scale stickers / adhesives / decals.

"Shell" was just written, not the company logo.

"Firestone" was the logo with 2 chequered flags and written "Firestone Equipped".

"Heuer" was the traditional Cronograph Heuer logo, present on every Ferrari team car in the 70's.

I've tried to find something with Google but I did not get good results.

Maybe someone has these stickers and can scan them for me ...

Many thanks !
Best regards !

André Acker.

Have you done a search of Grand Prix Models website using 1/32 and decals? I know Virages makes decals of sponsors in scales from 1/43 to 1/24. Try also Professor Motor. They also carry carry decals in 1/32. If all else fails, try Patto's Place in AU. If they don't have them on a sporsor sheet they probably are on a sheet of a particular Ferrari. It will take some time to look through them. Let us know how you make out. I will try to think of some other solutions.

Andre

If you haven't done so already, have a look at the decals section on Pendles website they have all the ones you've mentioned.

AlMark and David,

Thanks for your help and interest.

I had already looked for existing decals. The problem is that a) they do not have the decals the size I need, b) you have to buy one sheet of Firestone and one sheet of Shell decals to use just a few, c) Heuer decals are not available.

That's why I decided to try to make just the decals that I need, if I can find high resolution images of these logos.

The mould is to do vacuum form slot car bodies, so I want to have a few sets of these particular sponsors.

The "Shell" is not difficult to do in a computer and the "Heuer" logo can be designed.

The most difficult to solve is the "Firestone equipped" logo ...

Best regards !

As AlMark has stated above, they are available from Pattos Place in 1/32 scale for the Ferrari 712 exactly as you describe. See http://members.optus...place/home.html . Scroll down under Decals- F to and then click on the scale on the right hand side to view. Prices are in Australian dollars, so very reasonable.

There are some multi-decal sheets made by DMC in Denmark with a variety of logos. there is one that has Heuer and Shell alongside Carello and a few other common Ferrari suppliers. http://preview.tinyurl.com/dmcsp073
Is that any good?

Hi !

Thanks for your effort !

I found nothing at "brands of the world".
The Patto's decals are copied from those from Top Slot (a Spanish company that makes 1/32 scale resin bodies - they have this Ferrari 712 decals in their catalog), which I have.
The DMC decals (at Grand Prix Models) are not available at the moment.

Why do I want to make these decals ?
When you a buy a sheet of decals, you get just a few of those you are interest on. And these decals normally are expensive.
So, I want to make a decal sheet with just Ferrari, Shell, Firestone, Heuer, Koni and Champion brands / logos.

I already have the Ferrari, Koni and Champion logos.

The missing ones are Heuer, Shell and Firestone.

My 1/32 Ferrari 712 body is vacuum form and I race this car, so there will be a (almost) permanent need of these decals, to make the future bodies.

Best regards !

André Acker.
