In 1970 Peter Cox (at that time a Triumph employee) built the first lightweight GT6 for Group 6 Prototype racing. This car had an all aluminium body on a standard chassis and is easily recognisable by its twin long distance tanks. It appeared on the front cover of a magazine called 'The High Road- for the motorist' in October 1970.
I purchased the car in 1971 and raced it for the next two years in Modsport. My ambition is to find the car and restore it for Historic racing in Australia
Can any one out there help ????

I built a Mosports GT6 in the mid 70,s.For some reason we painted the car in a meganta pink.It was a terrable car but got me started in motor sport. I often wondered what happend to it.I will try and post a picture.Hi, Did you or the Car ever Race at the Mugello road Circuit in Italy in 1970 ? As I remember a GT6 that turned up there to race alongside the 2litre Sports cars (Chevrons & Lolla ) During the race it went off in a big way on a long fast corner & ended up about 100 yards down the steep banking only being stopped from going to the bottom (quite a long way down) by a very big Tree. If my Memory serves me right it was driven from the UK on the road
Hope you find it Good Luck
