Had a query from a friend who was involved with F/A racing here in Canada in the 70's and 80's. He is a Kiwi and would like to know what happened to the 2 F/A cars campaigned by Alan McCall Racing, driven by John Nicholson, Brett Lunger, Damien McGee (and maybe others?) in the mid seventies Canadian races. Are they alive and well somewhere?
Any info would be helpful, and I will pas it on to him. Thanks.

By spring 1978 at least one of the cars [chassis 2] is in the hands of a Fred Greenfield, who runs it in qualifying for the Atlantic race at Long Beach. I have somewhere a scan of a photo, but will have to get permission to reproduce it here. Greenfield either rents or buys this car at some point in 1977 as he has four points in SCCA nationals by the end of that year, with a Tui - and an FSV Tui wouldn't get you those, given the number of old Atlantics in California.
Greenfield is listed in SCCA points tables as registered with CSCC [southern California] but perhaps came from the Seattle/Portland area as he also runs at least one ISCC race at Portland in 1978.

“Fred has taken over the famous Tui cars run by Allan McCall and has spent the winter rebuilding them...
“He is an accomplished sailor, winning several championships in boats he designed. In his spare time he enjoys painting in both oils and acrylics, and has also written a book entitled First Aid for Business"
So now you know...

Lunger, Nicholson, Damien Magee, EFR, Tom Gloy, Tom Klausler, and David Oxton.
I have a lot of Tui pics but apparently have uploaded only 2, the first two in the links below. The second 2 links feature the Tui man himself. I will definitely be adding more Tui pics in the future....

According to OldRacingCars.com it is chassis BH2-2 and finished 8th in the Atlantic race on the day I took the pic at Mallory Park - April 1st 1973 - in the hands of Jim Murdoch...

Not sure if this is what you're after, Robert, but it's the only photo I ever took of a Tui!

To my mind there was only one colour for a TUI , black , as a car an all time favourite .

Did John Nic race the Tui in a couple of Atlantic races here in early 75? Any pics of this anyone?
