Grand Prix Models list a Renault 4CV proto model with #51, manufactured by "Mini Racing" and "Ecomodelismo" lists a Citroen 2CV roadster with #80. Both of these models are stated to have raced in 1953 Nontlhery Bol d'or. Does anyone have any original photos or race reports on these cars?

There's a picture of 2CV #80 in Les Grand Heures de Montlhery by Dominique Pascal with a few details.
I'm just about to leave for work now but will fill in the details tonight unless someone beats me to it.

Okay here's the picture caption in the above mentioned book for the #80 2CV - I won't attempt a translation from long-forgotten schoolboy French but sure you can get the gist:-
"Le tout jeune Jean Vinatier, sur la 2 CV preparee et carrossee par Pierre Barbot. Alimentee par deux carburateurs et pourvue d'un arbre a cames special, cette voiture a la carroserie tres speciale et permetta a Jean non seulement de terminer dix-neuvieme au classement general du Bol 1953, mais aussi de tenter, et de reussir, neuf records internationaux, dont douze heures a 96.960 km/h de moyenne et vingt-quatre heures a 85.020 km/h."
PS. Sorry to French speakers for mistakes and lack of accents. The first because I copied it by hand and the second because I've no idea how to add them (okay I probably should learn).

"The very young Jean Vinatier, driving the 2CV prepared and re-bodied by Pierre Barbot. Fed by two carbs and fitted with a special camshaft, this car with its very special body will non only allow Jean to finish in the 19th spot of the 1953 Golden Bowl (sic), but also to attempt and beat nine international records, in which the 12-hour at 96,96 km/h average, and the 24-hour at 85.020 km/h."
How's that after I corrected six cases of spelling dyslexia?
