In the interview I posted before Robert said some interesting things about the car. He said that it's nice to drive. On the fast parts it feels more like a racing car than a rally car and like a racing car is rather unforgiving. On the slower parts the car s really fun to drive, because it "turns good and brakes good", though it has some tendencies to lockups, so the driver has to brake cautiously.

BTW it's annoying that Robert doesn't do any rallying in Poland :|

Maybe he will :)

maybe annoying, but perfectly understandable. You know how it is in Poland. There would be a dozen of dzień dobry tvn pseudo journalist which I bet can be a pain in the ass.

Oh dear god can we have some kind of perspective here?

These are average drivers, in a clubmans rally, with robert driving a factory world rally car, and the greatest ever rally car ever built at that.

Don't read between the lines, would you? I said that they're very experienced (fact) and the best Robert had to deal with after his return (fact), so please don't put any other words in my mouth. I didn't say they are the best of the best of the best, give me fckin break...

Maybe he will

I doubt.

One thing's for sure - he wont participate in Barbórka rally. He said that in an interview.

Also after seeing some of his onboard footages (rally) he was suprised that he could do some things with his hand, he thought he wouldnt be able to do.

He said that's why rallying is good for his rehabilitation now, because on track things are much more steady and repetitive, and with rally cars on stages there's a lot more fighting with the car/conditions.

Luca Badoer was very experienced.
Did that make him any good?
No
But you used the word fact in your post looks like im not gonna win any arguments there......

Also, well done for swearing, nothing gets a mindless point across like bad language :drunk:

Well, lads, the unquestionable fact is that there is no better place than 1st. Even Genetically Modified Loeb wouldn't be higher.

Exactly...no one is trying to make him top rally driver.
Few months ago many of us thought he wouldnt be able to come back to motorsport.
No wonder people are so happy now :)
Even Robert said that if he decide to participate in rally season next year, he dont expect good results just learning because he lacks experience and you cant do much without experience.

Kubica admits he can't drive a single seater for the foreseeable future.

"I have a big limitation of my arm which doesn't allow me to test single-seaters. Unfortunately, for the moment I cannot do anything, so I am driving rally cars, or, let's say, cars with roofs, on the race track."

But stages are run in different direction (I don't know whether it was the case also last year though, but i think not), and this is rally, one year apart, with different conditions so comparison makes no sense at all. Maybe that level of competitors was higher;)

In this interview Robert said that he dont think he can get close to Loix dues to his experience and the fact he lives there and know those roads very well.

And where this info came from? I'm looking at 2011 and 2012 maps and this special stage and its direction looks exactly the same.

Thats probably the difference in the cars maybe a little less but still its very impressive that he's matching on of the top 15 rally drivers in the world.

And I see he's taken another 13 on ss2.

Now I think we have the right to get excited about his performance

2011 (La Mole 4+7)
2012 (La Mole ES 1)

In 2009 and 2010 direction was different.

It took you a while ;)

I genuinely think that if he is anywhere near Loix at the end of the rally it will be an amazing achievement.
Go get them Robert

Has Robert revealed the damage to his right hand? You can see in the top picture it doesn't look the same as his uninjured left hand. Were any of his digits severed?

The great news is he can still drive fast, go Robert!

Are you sure?
Loix is Belgian but I guess he might live there now......
Kubica lives in nearby Monaco.

Don't get me wrong, i'm a huge Kubica fan, have been since karting but he has quite a large car advantage over Loix.
Freddy is definitely a class act though
The 307 was an utter failure as a rally car, nowhere near as quick at Robert's C4's predecessor, the Xsara.
I'd say theres a minimum 1 second per km difference in the cars.
Probably nearer 2 sec/km

They could be pretty even if the difference between C4 and the 307 is about a second per kilometer. Still, it's fantastic to see him doing well.

So far they are after ~36km, so if kosmic knows what he is saying (;) ), there would be some nice fight between first two.

Ok but how do you measure Freddy's huge experience, full right arm ability and local stages knowledge (as Robert said he lives there)?

Irrespective of the car advantage, Robert's pace is absolutely blistering. Over a minute ahead of a strong WRC and IRC driver after four stages is incredible. Fingers crossed he can maintain this form
