Hello everyone.

I am to start my collection properly of model f1 kits (I have a few Tamiya) and die cast f1 (I only have a Lotus 72 and the debut Sauber). Can anyone recomend any sites online where they have a selection of either model f1 kits or diecast f1 cars? I have seen some amazing models but I have no idea where you can get them from. Your knowledge and personal recomendations would be fantasic

I Absolutely agree, GPM. And little cars;GPM do a weekly e-mail of all new stuff and their own magazine 4 small wheels. For F1 diecast I recommend alexreade.net - another good one is torontomotorsport.com even though I live in England, they have good sales too!

GPM and little-cars are excellent, one could lose hours looking through their websites.

For plastic kits try these:

www.hiroboy.com - a ton of models and accessories, excellent service
www.modelsinmotion.co.uk - Tamiya specialists
www.f1specialties.com - loads of F1 accessories and kits (mainly Tamiya)
www.hlj.com - THE plastic kit/accessory supplier in Japan
www.1999.co.jp - similar to HLJ
www.mediamixhobby.com.sg - the Singapore specialists

For on-line information, head to www.F1M.com. Everything from master-builders to hints and tips. Fantastic.

Hope this helps!

Another source to recommend is Replicarz in the USA. By buying outside the UK you'll save a heap on VAT, even after paying for postage.

http://www.replicarz.com/

The same owner also runs the sister company Sportscraftcars.

http://www.sportcraftcars.com/

The nice thing with both companies is that you can pre-order, which ensures you won't miss out on limited edition releases.

Grandprix legends also.

And don't forget to check on eBay!!!!!! You can buy very cheap on eBay! Sometimes you need to search hard and be patient and sometimes you will find it directly.

I'm hoping that one day there will be a CMC model on there for a tenner. Might be waiting a while for that though.
