To me, one of the great underachievers in F1 has been March. They won a grand total of three races despite the fact they had so many years with thier own and customer teams. Why did they always seem to underachieve? Can anyone give me any insight into thier long and usually disapointing F1 experience?
March, 3 wins in ALL those races?

Were'nt March to begin with just Chassis builders, teams came and brought chassis off them?
(Looking at the trusty History of the GP Car 1966-1985)
Yes March won most of their races with Tyrell, back when they were Championship contenders. I guess they never supplied another championship contending team after that, mainly privateer teams like Williams in his early days. After 1972, March "merely toyed with Formula 1". There were a couple of other wins to Petersen and Brambilla in the mid 70's.
