One hour of the 2009 Festival of Speed scheduled for HD ONE this Sunday night and repeated on Monday morning. Different times for different time zones - check your local TV guide.

IIRC correctly a British member here described it as 15 mins of ads, 40 mins of celebrity interviews and 5 mins of cars, a format we are all familiar with. Something is better than nothing so I'll give it a go.

Tonight - and tomorrow morning.

Just bumping this back to the top as a reminder, also for any Australian members who may have missed the original post.

I'm sure many would like to see coverage of the 'Revival' and if anyone notices a broadcast time in the future they may care to post the information.

Thanks for the FoS reminder Wirra.

Looks like 10pm tonight and 7am tomorrow morning are the times.

Unless you're in Queensland, in which case it's on at 9pm and 6am. For motorcycle racing enthusiasts, preceeding it is highlights of the 1992 Spanish 500cc Grand Prix, starting at 8pm AEST. So, in half an hour!

Perhaps I can redeem myself from having brought that appalling broadcast to your attention. The same time next week the ‘Revival’ is scheduled to be aired.

I noticed in the credits for last night’s show - yes, I stuck it out - that it was put together by ‘Goodwood’ itself. Who the hell was their target audience … the female presenter’s family?

Just another reminder to the Aussie (and NZ?) members that the Revival is scheduled for tonight and tomorrow morning - Wednesday arvo as well.

Surely it will not be as pathetic as the FOS coverage.

Well, it certainly wouldn't want to be ! Quite apart from the wearer of the pink boots' unquenchable obsession with celebrity (and Jackie Stewart's gaffe about the Cosworth DVD engine !), what is the obsession by doco makers with putting naff music over all the glorious sound ? In the case of Goodwood, all the footage of cars and bikes wailing up the hill was overscored by mindless electronic music, drowning out most of the few minutes of howling historic engines we were afforded in the few minutes left available after all the shoulder-rubbing. Same in any footage of Rolls-Royce Merlin-engined planes you get to see, producers insisit on a score blaring over the top, very annoying ! No such problem hearing the inane twitter of the list of B celebs who popped in to Goodwood : I'd expect it of Duke Marketing, in fact we're used to it, but to see Goodwood put their name to that piece of utter twaddle is disappointing in the extreme.

Coverage of the Revival is much better IMO. Well worth watching.

David, you are so right, it was excellent - 9 out of 10.

With the Aus/$ the strongest it has been against the GB/P in 25 years I might even drop into a travel agency tomorrow and make enquiries about this September.

PS. Aren't those Melburnians on the ball.

Just happened to stumble across the 2010 Revival and FOS on the Bloomberg channel of all things (Foxtel 650)

Looks like replays next Saturday (27/11) and again on Sunday (28/11) starting at 23:00 EDST both days.

Double-check the time yourself.

I just caught the tail end of the 2011 Goodwood Revival on ONE HD this morning.

A check of the schedule indicates only one most broadcast is planned - 12 noon on 27th December (AEDST). Put that time in your hand-held device now.

That's around Lunch on the second day of the test match but I'm assuming Australia will be beaten by then!

It was on a couple of days ago, and as you said, in a couple of days time.
OneHD sometimes have trouble filling up their summer programming with sport, so you will see repeats of events held during the year.
They have also shown Motorcycle GP's from the mid 1990's this week also.
Its best to scan the TV program guide closely to see what comes up.

Just repeating myself from this time last year, but OneHD are starting to show repeats of race meetings they telecast during the year.
A week or so ago, they showed the Isle of Man TT, currently its Nascar, and who knows what else in a week or two.
7 Mate (Channel 73) always run Motor Mate during the afternoon on weekdays, generally from 2pm onwards, and there is always quite a bit of historical footage on the shows.
Well worth programming the timer record on the recorder while you are at work.
