This will probably prove difficult, but I will push my luck. Fueled by my interest in the M1 McLarens, I am looking for information on a South American serie of 4 races in 1967 called the "Campeonato Bolivariano".
The races were as follow :
- july 9, 6 Horas de Lima
- august 22, 6 Horas de Bogota
- october 15, 6 Horas de Quito
- december 10, 6 Horas de Caracas
My only sources are the wonderful forum PASION A LA VELOCIDAD Y MOTORES ( http://server4.foros...orum=muchasrpms ), absolutely fascinating but focused on Venezuela, and the no less wonderful "Porsche in the Americas" book by Jerry Pantis ( http://www.sportscarracinghistory.com ).
Apart from two Porsche Carrera 6, as described by Pantis, the championship was contested by two peruvian McLaren M1As, one Ford engined, the other Chevy powered.
Here is a photo of Rodrigo's McLaren, winning the 6 Horas de Bogota :

And there (end of the page), 2 photos of the not so good looking peruvian McLarens at Caracas :

Can anyone add something on those four races ? Thanks in advance.
