Its cos all't teams ah based down south. Maybe Manor GP is the start of a shift North for F1... whippets and flat caps in't pit (not down't pit). Tetleys and sunday dinner with yorkshire pudding in't McLaren Brand Centre. I can see it now!
None of that bloody champagne nonsense either, a Thermos each

'Course Hailwood, Read and Sheene were Southerners, and pretty quick on a motorbike.

I remember about 10 years ago, when CART was still in existence, there was rumour that Manchester was looing at hosting a street race for them.

Plus, the North isn't exactly bursting with national level race tracks apart from Croft, which, being from Leeds, does always sadden me.

Should've had it here, although they'd get lost around the city centre loop....

Last Northern F1 WDC - Nigel Mansell
I know you're being facetious, but Mansell is not from the North.

It depends who you ask. Who put you in charge of making the rules? I would certainly consider him to be northern.I know you're being facetious, but Mansell is not from the North.

Oulton Park, yes.
Cadwell Park is in Lincolnshire and as such is in the East of England rather than the North.

That's the ultimate in pedantry and would make the aforementioned Croft 'in the East' too; Cadwell is, I think, farther north than Oulton - just.

I would have put Cadwell in the North. Snetterton is in the East.

Considering Cadwell is just below the Humber estuary I'd claim it for the North.

LOL the tightest, miserable git with a weird accent Ive ever met is from affluent rural surrey, went to private (public if you will) boarding school and worked in London all his life. And why I worked for him for 2.5 years is beyond me! Lets face it, etonian english is much more 'funny' than your stereotypical Northerner.
