Greg lost his life in a tragic accident yesterday 16/01/2010..........A sad day for anyone that knew him. :cry:

To those who knew Greg Pretty, he was killed in an accident in the Adelaide hills yesterday.

Just read on another forum that South Australian Greg Pretty was killed over the weekend. His performance on Pitmans TZ750 and XS1100 production and Superbikes were legendary in Australia. RIP

Absolutely right, Rod. Helluva rider and like of lot of those Aust-based riders of that era, born 10 years too soon; would have been a winner in WSB. God speed, Greg.

As a youngster, in about 1979, I approached Greg for an autograph at Cadwell. Not only did he sign, he took the time to ask my name and write a short message in my book. He gained a young fan that day and I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

RIP Greg. You were a true gent.
