Aston Martin traditionally raced in British racing green - a colour that originated when teams raced in national colours in the early days of motorsport - through its first forays into motorsport, and during its brief F1 entry in 1959 and 1960.

The manufacturer switched to a luminous green colour for its Aston Martin Racing sportscar efforts in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2018, and used the scheme most recently for its GTE-Pro class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans last weekend.

However, the Aston Martin F1 project is set to run in British racing green next year, as revealed by Lance Stroll during Thursday's FIA press conference in Sochi ahead of the Russian Grand Prix.

No such shade as British Racing Green.  Luminous green is just as much British as Aston Martin green.

Timings for the Portuguese GP just posted cannot be right - has the same times for local and the UK for Friday and Sunday (this is correct) but local one hour later on Saturday (this is wrong).

Hi mates!!! I would like to know your opinion about a POSSIBLE ERROR considering 1951 championship

At google, I found:

Three drivers were fighting for the championship going into the race: Fangio on 27 points, Ascari on 25 points and González on 21 points.

And...

González needed to win, and set the fastest lap, with Ascari finishing third or lower and Fangio not scoring at all to win the Championship

MAYBE WE HAVE AN ERROR HERE!!!!

Because... those 21 points were going to be 18 because of the discarded (dropped) points. Only four best results were considered...

So, I did this count: suppose Gonzales did 9 points (8 + 1) in last race...

He would have these points: (3)-8-4-6-9 = 30, discard 3, and he would have 27 points.

If Fangio did no points in Spain, He would have: 9-(1)-5-6-7 = 28, discard one... and Juan Fangio would also have 27 points.

The main question is: to Untie, what the "rules book" was saying in 1951?

If we consider only valid results, Fangio would have 2 wins (1 in a shared car) and also Gonzales would.... Fangio had 2 seconds, and Gonzales would have one second place dropped (3 points in shared car). If this is correct, Gonzales never had a chance!!!

AND IN THIS CASE, THERE IS AN ERROR!!!!!!!!!!

But if we consider that 2nd place (just to untie, not counting points) than the argentinians would have 2 seconds both, and Gonzales would be champion when counting his 3rd place, against none from Fangio.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

At the flag, Perez scored his maiden F1 win from Vettel,

From https://www.autospor...lowout/6541352/

It is either his maiden win for Red Bull, or it is it his 2nd win. He won last year for BWT Racing Point

Carlos Reutemann obituary on the main page has a photo of Fittipaldi in a McLaren M23 identified as Carlos in a BT44.

In the F1 schedule for Monza, it is displaying "FP3" as sprint race. Not sure if FP3 is really the correct term, but got a bit confused trying to find out when it will take place.

"The Monza circuit has never really been a great venue for overtaking, and a look through the history books has always shown the grands prix to be dictated by the pitstop windows."

Really? How about the lap charts from the mid 60s/early 70s GPs?  :D

Why the hell is there 'F1' in article titles for absolutely no reason? Just from the current titles:

- Ferrari: "Zero compromise" on F1 2022 focus despite McLaren fight

- Why 2022 progress is crucial after Alfa's year of F1 turmoil

- How Ferrari triumphed in the battle for F1 2021's best of the rest

- Williams: Latifi needs to stop 'overthinking' in F1 2022

- How Norris became more than just McLaren's leader in F1 2021

- Why Alfa's ousted F1 driver can be "happy" despite losing his drive

Has a clown taken over as chief editor? Or why are you making such a fool of yourselves?

This is not an answer.

I would hazard a guess that people who visit a site called autosport and see an article title about a Ferrari vs. McLaren battle will have a clue which series that might be referring to.

I would understand this in an article about a little-known regional GT championship but this is plain pathetic.

In Mercedes team GruppeM set to exit DTM over "unpredictable" damage costs

Chen feels DTM’s Indy-style restart procedure is the main cause of the problem, echoing comments from some drivers that they can cause “mayhem” and force them to take undue risks.

"You only have to look at the restart,” he said. “Everybody is fighting each other, but how to solve it? And if there is no solution, then there will always be this damage.”

Chen also didn’t understand the call to use double-file restart with just a single lap to run in the second race at Spa Francorchamps

"That was completely unnecessary. The damage [to Engel’s car] alone cost us 55,000 euros.”

Indycar hasn't used double-file restarts for many years (perhaps 2013?)

NASCAR-style would be more appropriate.

"But even with temperatures twice as high as some had expected here this time of year"

You mean, say, 566 degrees Kelvin instead of 283 degrees K?
