Hello and welcome to another new game!

Do you know more than everyone else about how good the drivers really are?

Here's your chance to prove it! Inspired by those pesky scorecard threads in the RC, my twisted brain came up with a new game called 'Battle of the Teammates'. As the name suggests, this game is all about the relative performance of the drivers within each team. Since USF1 and Campos Meta haven't sorted out their driver line-ups yet, this thread is for introducing the game only. I'll start another thread when the game starts.

Rules

- The player scores points for correctly guessing which driver in each team gets the better result both in qualifying and in the race.
- Since some of the driver pairings tend to be a bit lopsided I added a little twist: Additional points for guessing the difference in position between the drivers.
- Deadline: Start of the first practice session.
- If a team replaces at least one of its drivers after the deadline, no points will be given for that team.

Scoring

3 points for guessing the correct winner in qualifying unless both drivers fail to record a time.
3 points for guessing the correct winner in the race.

1 point for each position between the drivers up to the predicted number, provided that:

- The correct driver wins.
- The predicted difference in position is no bigger than the actual difference in position.
- In qualifying: Both drivers record at least one timed lap.
- In the race: Both drivers are classified.

Example (involving one team only):

Assuming the following guesses:

Player 1: Hamilton 5, Hamilton 6
Player 2: Hamilton 2, Button 3

and the following results:

Qualifying

2. Hamilton
6. Button

Race

1. Hamilton
4. Button

Player 1 gets 3 points for correctly guessing the winner in qualifying and another 3 points the race but no points for the positions because in both cases the predicted margin was too big. Result: 6 points.
Player 2 gets 3 points for correctly guessing the winner in qualifying and another 2 points for the winning margin but no points for the race because he picked the wrong driver. Result: 5 points.

In this example the perfect guess would have been Hamilton 4, Hamilton 3 for a total of 13 points.

Ok, that's it for now. Questions, suggestions and random comments are welcome. I'll clarify and possibly amend the rules if necessary.
