What about the one we've been in the last few years?
http://www.f1manager.info/
It no worky and according to the site, it probably won't be up for the first race. It's sad to move on but it looks necessary

Team Scotracer is also in this F1 manager, with a team name-change to Bawjaws Engineering.

It's seems f1manager.info is starting to work, they might be up on time.
Are you going to start an Atlas League, when possible?

f1manager.info is now running and i plan on joining in a league there. unfortunately while the site is live and updated now, the league function doesn't look to be running yet.

F1manager was nice and simple, but in the last third of every season there is no way to catch up with the leaders or make inroads because they reach a plateau.
This looks good as it features a couple of variables, and you can earn more money/points by predictions etc.

First year I've tried anything like this, am I supposed to only be able to afford Virgin and Lotus drivers and parts?

Ecurie Bonnier has joined.

Yeah pretty much. Or you can lump the majority of your budget on a decent driver, engine etc.

Think you get more money if the parts and drivers u got do good, then you can upgrade, not sure about that though lol

But that's what makes it so good. Its all about the planning and the studying. You can catch up at the end with a clever gamble as i did in 08 (i then messed it up again). But it makes it all the more real for me.
Too many variables and it loses any sense of skill. but i'll need to give it a look see. just don't have much time this week! eek.

Besides, this one is the same basic system with a couple of more variables.

Well from what I can gather (unless I'm missing something), it's mathematically impossible to have any one of the top 6-8 drivers in your team for the first race as it doesn't leave you enough money for even the cheapest second driver, chassis, engine and fuel. Which seems a bit of an odd set up.

Looks like this is the case to me, as you must have a complete set-up to earn points. I guess the idea is to build up funds over several races to then switch to better drivers

Zauber made it all the way up to 9th last year, my first year, thanks to Toyota's early performance.
Money does seem a little tight this year

So did anyone manage to put together a team that didn't include Chandhok?
No. Hence my question earlier.
I did find it a bit odd that you the dearest driver you could afford was something from Renault or Williams, and that meant going with Campos in all other slots. But this model perhaps is better for longevity. We'll see how it pans out!

Yup! Driver line up features youth and experience but no Chandhok!

"WAIT F1"
The site is bloody slow mind!!!
Okay been looking at how to 'make' a team and it is clear the points are weighted massively in flavour in drivers, not sure how you guys have/are planning your teams, but to me it seems the best way is to skip the drivers for the start and obtain points on engine/chassis, ditch senna and Chandhok once you have enough money for the $70 mil drivers?
